Eldon coming out of retirement! What a moment! What a time for the board! I think we will all remember where we were on this blessed day.

Glad Eldon is back, I like any passion about UMass basketball, whether it's critical, optimistic or balanced it is good to have fans that CARE.

I happen to agree with him I am disturbingly excited about next season. It's gonna be really interesting with lots of built in drama. Will DK step up his coaching? Changes to the staff? Will fan interest recover? Who will be eligible? Who emerges from the freshmen? Can someone like RH or Dante emerge as a clear cut leader? Can DK put questions about his future to rest with on court results or will it murkier? Will any scholarships come open and can we ink a couple more top recruits? Is this the start of a dynasty or inflection point to a new regime?

But meanwhile we are still on the NCAA tournament bubble until we lose. Let's beat VCU!

Eldon, welcome back. I'm pretty much in agreement with your post. My only difference of opinion is on UConn's recruiting. This is your quote:
Uconn is treading in interesting waters too. High profile recruits are not knocking on their door like they were even 3 years ago and they are slipping backwards as a result
UConn's 2016 recruiting class makes ours look second class. #5 on 247Sports. However, I'm still thrilled with our incoming 7.

Didn't I tell you Eldon would be back? And with a pretty reasonable post, no less.

^^ If our RC is #25, that means there are 24 rated better.

That being said, for UM: a BIG PLUS for us...
that there are a heck of of a lot more schools rated behind us...

For now, there is a game today...
The angle of incidence = the angle of reflection: REBOUND!

I wouldn't throw dirt on UConn just yet, Eldonabe. Probably gonna get in the dance after today's 4 OT win against Cincy. And like someone posted their 2016/2017 classes are really, really good (Top 5-10ish) and they are in on that Diallo kid who is a Top 10 player in 2017.

And this Jalen Adams kid is going to be a typical UConn guard. I think they are going to be a Top 10 team next year, which doesn't bother me the way it used to. I hated Calhoun, but don't hate Ollie.

Haven't posted in awhile and stopped watching games and following team during this year for the first time in forty years. I did watch tonight. DK is the absolute worst. If he doesn't bring in a very experienced assistant next year it will be more of the same no matter how talented the incoming class may be.

^ Tonight I saw UMass lose to a team with a much more athletic frontcourt that had rim protectors and on the other end had little fear of being blocked at the rim by UMass. There wasn't much an different HC or AC could've done to change that.

Yes, we should start a "fire the GM" thread.

Niles, if that is what you believe then you are a simplistic moron. So tell me, if the teams were the same as the last time they played why wasn't it the same result? Because one coach adjusted and one coach let the same horizontal pick play go all night with no defensive adjustments among other things. Niles, you are the only person I don't respect on this entire board and the one person that drives me insane. Outta here.
