It is the typical casino card, about the size of a normal credit card, that you insert to a slot machine so that you build up points that can be redeemed for stuff. It also allows the casino to track the amount of money you gamble. Now they can track you at all table games also.

Coach Phil wrote:I haven't gotten anything back from the Alumni Office or Athletic Office about any official meet and greet or gathering of UMass folks, but in lieu of that I suggest that we arrange to meet before the first game—6:30 on Thursday—at one of the many bars/lounges at the MGM. Suggest someone more familiar with the layout of the MGM—it's huge and I haven't been there in years—suggest a site, so I'll leave that as an open thought. Surely, if we're all wearing UMass attire of some sort we can find one another.

There are many bars and lounges at the MGM where people can meet up at. Michael Mina pub 1842 is the closest one to the arena. Also they have the Rouge lounge not too far away either. The Tap sports bar is great for games but its the furthers away from the arena and you would have to walk through the large mgm casino before the game. Also next to the front lobby is the lobby bar and the Whiskey Down lounge. At Whiskey down they have tables to gamble on as well.

Rutgers lost a close one tonight to St Johns
Creighton got smoked by Indiana
Clemson pulled away in the second half and beat Texas Southern by 20

Should be some good games

^ Purely a guess here. We will not see Space in Las Vegas. TBerg's injury is improving, but I have a feeling that they may hold him out. He then has until Dec. 2 to heal more and get in shape.

Flying out at 11:20 tomorrow morning non stop and get there at 1:14. Staying until Friday leaving there at 11:45 AM. Our daughter flies out on Monday. My son works for MGM and it will be the first time in at least 12 years the four of us will beable to celebrate a Thanksgiving meal together.

Is there no TV coverage for the Vegas games? Looked at UMass' schedule online and it doesn't show a "TV" symbol next to either game

All of the games will be on YouTube, except for the "Championship" game, which will be on ESPN 2.

This would be my guess on both too. Tberg makes the trip but doesn't play then is probably back in the lineup for 12/2.

What's everyone take so far? I did not expect this team to beat Harvard especially with the lack of Space and TBerg. I know Howard and Central Ark aren't exactly powerhouses but beating Harvard on the road is still reason for optimism. We still have ways to go and we need Hines and RH to improve quickly. If we can go 1-1 in Vegas that will be incredible!! I thought the Clemson game would be on ESPN3 at least. Go Umass!!

Honestly all 4 teams seem to be pretty evenly matched. 2-0 wouldn't surprise me and 0-2 wouldn't surprise me. That's why I just keep splitting the middle at 1-1. I expect every game to be relatively close and competitive.

Yep, right on with this. Give me one and I'm good.
