^^ What is unfathomable about that? They really suck it in the non-con then rally a bit and only kinda suck in the conference season?

4 non con wins is completely "fathomable" - Umass is not going to be favored to win very many games this season. I happen to disagree with only 4;l but there absolutely nothing on the negative side that could/would surprise me.

If they win 15 games I might actually have sex with my wife......

UMass' OOC schedule is significantly less difficult than it's conference schedule.

^ Agree. If we don't beat Howard, Central Ark., New Orleans and LIU Brooklyn than we are in for a very rough season. We also have BU at home. If we can win those 5 and maybe 2 of the other 7 non-conference games, we are 7-5 going into A10 play. 4 seems too low.

Oh boy, Antwan Space, our only experienced Big, has left the team. Space was not a spectacular player at Texas A & M, but he might have given us defense and rebounding plus put backs.

Tyler Bergantino, Malik Hines and Rashaan Holloway are our Bigs. Bergantino has been a little used roll player for 3 years. Both Hines and Holloway sat out last year, plus Rashaan is coming off knee surgery. The other forwards are Seth Berger and Zack Coleman. Berger got a medical red shirt last year. Did Coleman? Both are coming off injuries. Neither have played very much.

The forecourt will probably augmented by guard Donte Clark and maybe CJ Anderson. Trey Davis and Jabarie Hinds round out the guards. Luwane Pipkins will most likely sit out the season.

DK has only 9 players on scholarship. Three of the five front court players are coming off serious injuries. What's the likelihood that all three will be injury free this season?

Lindy's College Basketball magazine predicted we'd finish 12th in the A10, but it assumed we'd have both Antwan Space and Luwane Pipkins. Wonder what Lindy's would predict now? Derek has his work cut out for him to avoid a last place finish!

Do we get to redo our predictions if Space doesn't come back?

Base on the Space news, I'm revising my predictions. The season hasn't started yet; it's only fair. Besides, I could use the prize $ which I understand Eldon has ponied up. :) I predict a rough season. Sigh, no sell outs at the Bill this year. :(

Wins - 8
Conf Wins - 3
Lead Scorer - Clark
Lead Rebounder - Hines
# 10ppg - 1 - Clark
Avg Home Att. 3,500
Team PPG - 72
Team PAPG - 69
20+ pt wins -2
20+pt losses- 2
High Scorer Davis
High (Player) Points one game - (Davis) 30
High (team) points one game - (Central AK) 87
Low (team) points one game - (Providence) 48
High AP Rank - NA
High Coaches Rank - NA
Post Season (seed/round advanced to) – NA

Wins - 17
Conf Wins - 9
If Space is gone for the whole season, I'll say 14-16 overall, 7 conference wins.

You can edit your post as much as you want util Sunday morning, then I will take all picks a compile them - so technically you can re rate you picks after game 1

I like this. It's very difficult to know what we're going to get from this team.

So, we can submit revisions to our revisions until midnight, Sunday, 11/15, and still be eligible for the grand prize? Fair enough! Can't wait to see what I've won!
