^Isn't there a BC forum somewhere?? 8)

Also, I love Whip and the progression of the team, but your has tags are a little strange. Yes, Molnar was awful, but haven't we choked the last 2 weeks? And Whipple is winless. Love your enthusiasm, just thought there's some irony in those hashes. PS Has this been a twitter page? #Hashtags

hahah BC forums pale in comparison to UMassHoops! Sorry about the hashtags. I thought they might be catchy and start a trend :) We have certainly choked this week and less so last week. I just consider both games moral victories for the team. And I see legitimate wins in Whipple's future. There's definitely irony in those posts, but I have to be optimistic (and I couldn't think of any other alliteration hashtag :D ) ...And be critical of Molnar

So BC runs for 464 yards against the #9 team in the country.

My feelings the last two weeks have involved excitement about the progress of the team, tempered by the notion that Colorado/Vanderbilt stink, and mixed with reservations about being run over by BC in the first game. Watching BC do that to a top 10 team in the country makes me feel like perhaps UMass is closer than I thought to seriously competing.

I'm very, very curious to see how the MAC schedule plays out this year.

Agreed. Three wins is definitely a realistic goal for the MAC schedule and 4 or more could be reachable.

That makes the two Colorado and Vanderbilt near-wins even more tough. The potential of a six-win season was so, so close.

Pretty pathetic though that the place isn't even close to a sell out, and they're hosting a PAC 12 team who is in the top 10 and has great college football history. You could hear a pen drop (slightly exaggerating) with USC driving now. Place should be rocking.

Touchdown as I type 30-24 BC with just under 5 to play.
I guess the attendance is pathetic, but I certainly wouldn't mind having a team that can beat the number 8 team in the country. I also don't think we have a leg to stand on when it comes to attendance and support.
Watching the re-air on NESN right now. Slight exaggeration? Major exaggeration. Place only holds 44,000 so you can't expect it to be defeaning. Plus there were a fair amount of USC fans there. Unfortunately this post wreaks of little brother syndrome. I am quoting 78 as well because I agree with his leg to stand on comment.

If you were not a BC alum who was a big giver, would you go to a game in their stadium when they told you that you must tailgate in the Green Line parking lot in Newton?

All I saw was the overtime after the Zags/BYU hoops ended. Made my day. "Wide right!!!"

I was at this game and got in a few verbal altercations with those arrogant and JoePa-loving State fans. So sad to see my Eagles lose. The two teams I support probably have the two worst kicking games in college football right now

^ I have to say that there was definitely a lot of arguments/yelling matches/fights between PSU and BC fans. Security and NYPD had their hands full. People were absolutely plastered.

Guys, had to post this because it's so hilarious:

Mark Blaudschun, formerly of the Globe and now at ajerseyguy.com, with the hot take on BC's kicking game (or lack thereof). Ouch.

http://ajerseyguy.com/?p=11760

Of course, reading between the lines, I'm sure old Marky (BC water carrier No. 1) is probably pissed that UMass gave a scholarship to arguably the best kicker in the Northeast. And another "Jersey guy," no less. HAHA!

Marky seriously doesn't want to give any positive pub to the Minutemen, so instead he hits his schoolboy crush (BC) where it hurts. He's as transparent as he is ridiculous.

BC gets new uniforms for this year....throwbacks to the Flutie era. They are playing ND at Fenway this year as part of the Shamrock series or whatever. And BC gets to be the visitor (WHY????)
