Except they went 2-8 from the free throw line costing me the damn spread.Refuse2Lose83 wrote:TT-LSU going to OT tied at 59. Texas Tech pulled a UMass, turnover on an inbounds pass up 2, LSU with the steal and dunk. LSU was down 12 at half. Mickey and Martin leading LSU with 15 and 16 points (11 and 14 rebounds respectively too). We have some tough inside match-ups coming up.
Edit: LSU wins in OT. TT did a nice job controlling tempo, played 3 freshmen a lot of minutes. LSU was just the better team in OT

Siena @ St. Bonaventure -- 7pm -- Siena needs a win to get things rolling for them, but they've picked a tough place to get it. Bonnies impressed in their opener, winning easily without a handful of key players.
Ohio @ FGCU -- 7pm -- ESPN3 -- Gulf Coast is tough at home. Not sure what Ohio has this year, I though they were a little disappointing last year.
Coppin St @ Notre Dame -- 7pm -- Coppin St is 0-2, giving up 110+ in both games so far, both blowouts. Should be another one here.
Southern Virginia @ BYU -- 9pm -- Non - D1 game for the Cougars....pat of the Maui Invitational. They head to Hawaii for some tough games next week.
St. Joe's @ Gonzaga -- 11pm -- ESPNU -- This could get ugly....Gonzaga looks awfully strong early, and the Hawks young lineup can't score. I've learned to expect the unexpected with Phil Martelli's teams....but this is a tall order.

Siena is giving it to the bonnies pretty good up 10 with 7 minutes left. That is not an easy place to play

Re: Opponent Watch 2014-15
Siena @ St. Bonaventure -- Bonnies dig a deep hole early, mostly by turning the ball over and missing free throws. A balanced Siena attack earns them a nice road win.
Ohio @ FGCU -- Watched a little of this, not a competitive game. FGCU was up 25 at the half. 25. I don't think this is Ohio's best team but they are expected to be one of the better MAC teams. More indication here that our schedule is consistently challenging this year. FGCU is very talented with a very good senior point guard.
Coppin St @ Notre Dame -- Irish played a lot of guys in a blowout win. They'll be fresh Saturday. Big man Zach Auguste had 21 and 7, going 9-9 from field and 3-3 from the line in 22 minutes of play. He did have one turnover, so we got that going for us. Which is nice.
Southern Virginia @ BYU -- BYU's third-teamers steamroll DIII Southern VA. Starters played sparingly. We'll see what we have with this BYU team next week in Maui.
St. Joe's @ Gonzaga -- Zags show the heart of a champion, holding off a furious Hawk rally for a 94-42 win. Hawks were down 48-10 at the half. Wow.

I've gone to that well before. I'm not above repeats.
Re: Opponent Watch 2014-15
St. Joes is absolutely terrible. What happened?? Wow, graduation killed them.
Looking forward to the 2022 UMass Football Season (Oh boy, just jinxed that one)

Saint Joes is bad but Gonzaga is also really good.

And Gonzaga is demolishing St. Joe's already. Hit their first 8 shots. Up 31-9 in with 6 minutes left in the first. St. Joe's is not very good. Gonzaga is loaded though.

Okay, Gonzaga doesn't miss. They're going win the championship. The NBA championship. 46-10!

No surprises last night, although the St. Joe's game was even worse than expected.

Re: Opponent Watch 2014-15
Early start today as many tournaments get going.
Texas A&M vs. Dayton -- Awful game. Dayton dominated on the glass big and athletic A&M squad. But that's about all the Aggies are. Somehow Dayton gets the win on a tip in the last second, which may have been the Flyer's first rebound of the day. Ugly, but a win. Flyer's message board will be full of concerns.
New Mexico vs. Boston College -- 5pm -- ESPN2 -- BC sucks. Just not quite as much as last year. New Mexico lost the three studs that we followed last year, but do have some pieces back. They should beat BC, but it could be a decent game in Puerto Rico.
MD-Eastern Shore @ VCU -- 7pm -- This shouldn't be close, classic type of team that VCU will overwhelm at home.
Navy @ Providence -- 7pm -- The Midshipmen are in a stretch where they play three of our opponents in a row. They weren't competitive with Notre Dame, and are not likely to threaten the Friars, either.
George Mason @ West Virginia -- 730pm -- ESPNU -- It's Hewitt vs. the HuggyBear in Puerto Rico. Not Huggins best team but he has enough to beat a floundering Mason program.
Fordham @ Maryland -- 730pm -- This won't be Gonzaga/St. Joes awful, but it won't be pretty, either. Pecora, like Hewitt, looks to be in his last year in the A10.
Florida Atlantic @ Harvard -- 8pm -- FAU is not horrible, but they get the Crimson at a bad time, after a bad loss to Holy Cross. The nerds should roll.

That really was an awful performance by Dayton until the last two minutes of the game. They get CONNU tomorrow which should be interesting
