2014 Hall of Fame Tip Off
Tickets on sale Friday at 10:00am. We are in the Naismith bracket with a Noon tip off on Saturday and Sunday.
Haven't seen anything about their being a designated UMass section so I plan on buying tickets on Friday and moving around once we get there. Notre Dame normally travels well in the Northeast and Providence will be sending a solid crowd too I'm sure. I'll be there +6 with a couple board lurkers, should be an awesome weekend.
Edit: meant to include this link...

For what it's worth, the seats in 26 are 60 and the ones in 27 are 35. 27 closer to the corner but still good. Think that'll be my play.mdogt12 wrote:Sec 26 is UMass section.
Presale is over for UMass section tix, at last check only a few seats remained in Sec 26.
If you have a citi credit card or visa wallet checkout use code 546616 to order presale tix.

Nice to see that this is already generating so much interest among our fans. As I've noted earlier, I definitely plan on attending and hopefully with a large crew. Anyone know the hotel situation down there? What's decent in terms of quality/affordability? Think I'll drive up early Saturday morning, watch both our game and the PC FSU game, then do some black jack action before heading to bed and hitting our game the next day at noon.
It's always very hard to estimate how many of our fans will come out to an away or neutral court game like this and in my experience there's been a huge huge range over the years. Last year at St Joes we must have had a few hundred and we always get that or more at Fordham. But this is a unique set up in that the venue isn't in a major city. This isn't "oh UMass is in town at the Garden tonight." You gotta care if you're gonna make the trip. By the same token, it's not far from anyone, so if you're a die hard it's kind of a can't miss set of games and those who follow even somewhat can be roped into making a weekend of it more easily than if the game were elsewhere. Easily drivable from Western Mass, Boston, Worcester or NYC; really quality opponents; plenty of time to plan in advance; weekend; coming off our best season in 16 years.
I'm hoping we can fill up a few sections. You know that Boston/New England based Notre Dame alums are going to turn out in decent numbers since they don't get a lot of chances to see their team and obviously PC will bring a ton of people (fortunately we don't play them there), but I'd hope we get way more people than FSU and maybe even more than FSU.
