If we do get an 8, I hope we get Wichita State if we can advance.

All I'm hoping for:
1)We don't play Oklahoma State in round of 64.
2)We don't get Florida or Arizona in round of 32.
Sadly, something tells me we'll get Ok State in Orlando and then Florida two days later. Praying we drop to a 10 and avoid that scenario...
Happy no matter what.

Part of me wants OK St. There would be something truly amazing about DK and Chaz knocking off Ford and Smart.
Then there's the other part of me that is rational

I don't care what seed we get, who we play, where we play or when we play. I only care that we are in and playing. If everyone shows up to play this team can play with anyone. Of course that is a big if but atleast we have the potential to do it.

^ THIS. If we get past the first round in an 8/9 or 7/10 game, I think we can take a #1/#2 seed to the wire no matter who it is. This team has played up and down to opponents all season and I cannot see that changing.

^I think we can take just about anyone to the wire other than Florida and Arizona. I love our chances vs Nova, Wisconsin and Michigan. I honestly haven't seen enough of UVA to make a judgment. I think we can hang with Louisville, Kansas (without Embiid) and Duke if they don't shoot well. I think Wichita State is really, really good but I think we'd match-up pretty well with them and if we faced them in St. Louis in round two, I wouldn't be devastated.
I just really don't want to get Oklahoma State in round one because, let's be real, that's a 2-3 seed with a 8-10 seed's resume.

Less than an hour to go and Palm has us down to a 9 playing Oregon in St. Louis. I am at the point that seed doesn't matter, but think a 9 would be slightly disappointing. Palm has us in Wichita State's bracket. Lunardi has us in San Diego against Oklahoma State as a 9 also.

it makes me nervous because I don't see what could have changed the past two days to make us drop from an 8 to a 9. Makes me wonder if the seeds have been leaked and the bracketologist are following suit.

Of all the #1's, I think UMass' best shot is against Wichita State. That said, this is the most up in the air field I ever remember. Every team is very beatable.

Oregon won 8 in a row before losing in the PAC-10 tourney, including beating Arizona, Arizona State, and at UCLA. Really trending up. Other than Oklahoma State, one of the tougher potential 8, 9 seeds.

No matter who we play we need a lot of things to go our way to win, IMO. So I don't really care who we play.
Looking forward to the 2022 UMass Football Season (Oh boy, just jinxed that one)

^ With our shooting woes any team with decent zone is going give us trouble. It's pretty simple you need to shoot it well then everything else feeds off it defense ,rebounding, energy etc.

Trey Davis is pretty good at breaking down the zone. Chaz...not so much.

Hopefully, the GW game gave DK enough confidence to go to DD/Santee if we're up against a zone and none of the normal 7 are hitting from outside.
