Something to keep an eye on down the stretch here...
Chaz is 39 assists away from cracking the top 25 of all time. If he plays to his averages, he'll get it in the first game of the A10 tournament.
If he can somehow rack up 100 more (would require probably, at a minimum, a sweet 16 run), he'll finish in 15th all time.
Not bad at all. Barring injury, he should at least crack the top 25.

I think Friday is going tell us something about Chaz. If he plays well I would put his recent shaky performances on injuries, as he'll have 5 days to heal. If he continues to struggle it's really going worry me that's it is a slump that he'll need to snap out of asap. Although it could mean his injuries are bad, which would cause me the most worry!
Hire Matt McCall!
Man, I hope so. We are due for a virtuoso performance from Chaz. And we need it. He just needs to find that perfect level of intensity......too much is not good, especially against this team.
I agree, Floyd, I think he brings a great game. Something like 21 pts, 9 assists, and only 2-3 turnovers.
And clutch foul shots along with Trey!

I really do think they come out and play a great game on friday Chris. I think the win at GW was big for them, the week to rest a little and prepare, and the crowd will be a huge boost. This is what they've wanted since they didn't get in the tourney last year, to play a big game with a big atmosphere. And winning this game should be the lock for them to get in. If they aren't ready, I'd be shocked. Everyone does their part and plays smart and we should win this. It's the Perfect Storm Game

I agree with everything you say. But then I remember Butler last year. Not exactly the same situation, but we laid an egg. Too fired-up, couldn't control it, couldn't shoot. I like a lot of things about how this game lines up for us, but remain concerned that we get caught up in it all and don't play the smart, hard, composed ball that will be required.
The thing that scares me most is the guys getting overhyped. It happened twice last year, GW on Marcus Camby night and vs. Butler as others have mentioned. It almost happened again this year with the Alumni game.
If they don't try to do too much and play with emotion and energy we will be OK. In those other games, each player tried to do more than he is capable of and we were really sloppy.
Oh, and if it hasn't already been mentioned, practice your free throw shooting.

I hear you guys, but with the 3 RS seniors, Jrs. Cady & Maxie, and DG who's played in the tourney and a bigtime HS program, we should be experienced enough to handle that. Part of that is up tho DK and the staff to keep them grounded a bit too. It's now or never, and I think they'll be ready and prepared (please)

super fan on the other side of 15 years in the desert
It seems like Chaz is feeling better. I hope he gets a lot of rest and whatever treatment he needs. We need him as close to 100% as possible on Friday.
