But I have to say, I'm impressed by how they've handled their business and how they just seem in control. 16-1 I don't think anyone saw this
To that point and for all the shite people give Putney he had 7 pts and 4 boards in the first six minutes tonight when they went up by 18-8. It's a TEAM game and he certainly gave his team a hellofa start tonight, just saying.
Not complaining. Just that I think unless we kick the shit out of a team, some people think we're not playing well. I am not one of those people.
Know what I'm sayin?
Yep, I'm raising my glass to you right now. 8)

That's true and the officiating in the FSU game doesn't come close the home cooking I'Ve seen in the A10 this year. UMass will lose some away games.

DEAL . lol...FSU game was close for us, but we can't go talking about ifs and buts considering the type of Ws we've had recently.

all in all, I'm happy with tonight. no team is perfect , but it's nice to know how many guys we have on a given night that can step up and carry the load for us

in one way or another, Chaz, DG, Samp, Put, Cady Maxie and even Trey have been main contributors at least once this season... think of where we woulda been in that LSU game without Samp?

Thanks for the info, I'll be sure not to watch.

If UMass fans didn't enjoy early Put, steady Cady, Maxie and late Chaz then I don't know what these players need to do to keep people from pissing and moaning.

They were 4.5 point favorites and they won by 10. They're 16-1, I'll take it and sip a victory Jimmy Beam every time.
They making that out of rice yet?

Very nice win, judging from the accounts I've seen and heard. Going into that boutique gym packed with zealous Carolinians after a rough trip down and pummeling the spread is great.

Early in the year, we had an answer for everything teams threw at us. Now, teams are coming at us even harder. The season is a grind and guys are banged up. Opponents have game tape and are scouting us hard. We're going on the road against teams that desperately want to knock off a top 20 team. Opponents and fans are giving us their best shot.

And we STILL have answers. Someone keeps stepping up. Someone finds their mismatch. And we keep winning. It really is remarkable considering the overall SOS we've played (currently #10).

Noticed at one point what appeared to be Chaz having a foot stepped on and him limping a bit. This was on defense and once Elon scored, he appeared to be fine on the ensuing play. Had me scared for a second. Anyone else see this?

I guess that gym looks a lot worse on a computer screen than it does in real life. It's about 250 times better than the Cage dreamed of being. It has seats, comfortable spacing, much cleaner and a lot bigger( the building as a whole) It's a heck of a lot better than places like BU/Dartmouth/Harvard/the old UNC Greensboro gym... it's actually a really nice place.

Being at the game it was a different feel. I mean Elon kept it tight but there wasn't a point that the game was in question and it certainly didn't feel like it was. The students tried to provide some enthusiasm/attitude but it didn't seem to help at all. Good solid win, and it was impressive.

My wife and I were watching and it looked like him and an Elon player hit knees together and it looked like he was rubbing his knee several times. At least that is the way it looked to us.

He was complaining that the kid was purposely kicking him/targeting his knee/lower leg. It was a long discussion, the Elon kid was not happy.

Sagarin ranks Elon in between George Mason and Rhode Island and so ahead of three A-10 teams.

George Mason -- 159
Elon -- 166
Rhode Island -- 169
Fordham -- 190
Duquesne -- 193
Leading from start to finish, often with a relatively comfortable lead, and having the ability give significant minutes to both "Bergs" early?

I count this as a good win.

Could it have been better? Yes. But, it was still a good win.

Go UMass!

That's CLEARly what I saw. It was CLEAR to me that UMass was the better team tonight. I thought they were in cruise control most of the night and still came away with a 10-point win on the road in a bandbox gym. Time to CLEAR my head for tomorrow's Patriots game.
