Shouldn't we be aiming higher than high school role players that are looking at Division 2 schools, or is there something here that other schools are missing?
I guess you were missing something.

We are not in a power conferance so we don't need one of the top 10 rated players. I agree that just becuase he played with Rivers hes not the same caliber, but I think from the video and what scouts say he could bring alot to the team.
What's up Kreskin?

If he simply wanted to stay in Florida he could have done much better than FGCU. Even Rollins would have made more sense. More importantly, I think a good or promising program trumps geography, so DK's failure to land is a concern. But reasonable people can certainly disagree.

Yeah I definitely missed something haha. Kinda funny, this might be the only recruit that I ever questioned...that won't happen again!

Good player that went elsewhere. Happens everyday, to every program.

Would he have started over Chaz? I don't think so.

Would Chaz had transferred in with another PG on the roster his age? Who knows.

Nope. Chaz Williams belongs in the very elite of UMass point guards.

If this kid ended up at UMass and played like he's played at FGCU then Ali would have been very happy. A happy Ali is a good thing, imo.

This is the kind of story every college sports fan absolutely LOVES! It's what drew so many fans to the early Calipari teams. Winning games and beating the big boys with a 6'6" left-handed center who never quit playing hard!

It's obvious this kid can play and maybe it won't be just an aberration and we'll see them again next year.

Gotta love their coach too. Enfield had opportunities to perform on a bigger stage but chose to build something there instead. They played VCU Miami, Duke St. John's and Iowa State. I LOVE that too!

GREAT college sports story and from everything I have read it couldn't have happened to a better group of players/coaches.

GO FGCU indeed!!

I wonder how Comer feels today? I wonder if the experience of getting to the dance once will be enough for him and his teammates?

Another case of the coach gets richer and the players get to hang around and pick up the pieces. One trip is better than no trips but that has to suck.

Hard to fault the coach on this one. Was making $157K at FGCU and gets over $1M to coach in LA. That said, if he can make USC relevant in that market he will be earning his money.

And tell me his "model" wife wasn't also in on this decision for her career too. Remember Wayne Gretzky, I bet all things being equal, he might have still left.
