Best support for UMass from any governor in the past, let's see, 40 years. He's making a connection. UMass, Harvard. As a grad of both, I like that.

Haven't posted in the hoops forum in awhile, but I've been around. As excited for the season as everyone else. Just back from getting food for my (indoor) all-nighter. Beautiful, warm night for the camp-out. Hope the rain stays away! 10 AM can't come soon enough!!

I hope that is a joke or just a comment on governors actually attending a game.....
Stop waiting for UMass to do something big and help UMass do something big. - Shades

Reporting live from the coaches show at the Hangar. Sean McDonough and Bill Rafftery are calling this on ESPN. That is arguably their A #1 team. Granted, Sean being a MA guy probably helps, but that's pretty damn cool. They said something about this being their first trip to the Mullins since the A10 championship game in 1995? Is that right?? Either way, pretty pumped about it!

Unfortunately have to attend meetings at work tomorow AM, so DVRing the game (always extending the record time by 30 minutes, in case of OT). Hardest part will be not answering phone, checking texts or tweets about the game. Can I survive in media silence until I get to watch the game tomorow night? I'm sure going to try.

Prediction:
I believe this game is going be closer than most think, we may even be down at halftime. However, I think we pull this one out in the end like we did many times at home last season.
Harvard 72
UMass 79

I think we come out flying and never look back. After the first dunk or ally oop the crowd will go nuts and the players will feed off the energy. I say we win by no less than 12 points.

WOW. This is awesome. Dave O'Brien is another ESPN announcer who is also a Mass guy but they went with McDonough instead who I agree is on the short list of their A-Team. McDonough usually works with Rafftery and Jay Bilis.

I'd love to see ESPN back here later in the season with UMass a top 25 team and have Brent Musburger calling the game. Doing his signature "
Your are Looking Live..." opening ...

Got one extra ticket if anyone is going last minute and doesn't have one yet. You can meet me outside the arena 30 minutes before tip and have it for 15. Very good seat (near center court, 20 dollar value).

Was down at the tent site tonight, was a good time. Cant wait for the game tomorrow now.
9.5 point favorites, definitely larger than I expected, but hey I'll take it, Vegas knows how good we really are.

Just got home from work, not going to get much sleep before making the drive out there. The line opening at 5.5 and jumping to 9.5 shows that the wiseguys had this game circled to bet Umass.
Umass needs to play its style of play and keep the game fast paced and defend the 3.
