There were only smalls left when I stopped by on Black Out Night.

Hopefully a couple of larges will be left when my daughter and I get there.

Are you giving them out?

um, i usually appoint people to give them out haha but you are going to want to get there real early to get a shirt, like you will want to be in the building within a minute or two after they open the doors and then rush over to the endzone that the students enter.

also, they have been opening the doors about 10-15 minutes early on promotional/ t shirt give away nights so plan accordingly.

Yeah...we found that out at the URIne game...got there at 6:30. The shirts at the north entrance were gone. By the time we got to the other end of the building...only 2 boxes of small shirts remained. My son-in law's little brother has a cool souvenir. 8)

There ought to be an allotment of giveaways saved for season ticket holders. After all, they pay in advance for all games...and show up regardless. That would be a nice way for the program to say 'Thanks!'

I've emailed the suggestion to the AD.

Thanks for the tip, 03. We'll leave Springfield as early as we can.

Ya i do agree. The way they figure it though, im assuming, is that season ticket holders are real fans, who attendance isn't based on a friggen t-shirt, unlike the common student who's decision to make the 10 minute grueling haul of a walk to the mullins center is completly and utterly based on the presence or lack there of t-shirts.

Also, i made the facebook group for senior night. At first it was listed as merely, senior night. we had about 100 attending. Since we added the "free t-shirts" to the title we have 450 people attending. Unfortunatly we have 1300 in the not attending. Seriously, what else do you have to do from 7-9 on a wednesday night that would prevent you from showing up to show some respect to our seniors and catch the final, and for most umass students, there first home game.

Wish I could be there tonight to honor the seniors. Even with the dissapointing senior season, Lowe is still one of my favorite UMass players I've ever watched. His ability to blow by people, even as a freshman, was always fun to watch. Gaffney's senior season has been a great surprise, and Bonner has been consistent at least when it comes to taking charges. :)

Hope the turn out is decent, the free shirts should help, and that, most importantly, we come out and get a W. I have a feeling our guys will come ready to play on senior night, after putting up two clunkers in a row.

Squintz....I live in the DC area (Bethesda). Just moved here in January though, don't really have any UMass area hookups. Any ideas for a gamewatch?
I'm against picketing, but I don't know how to show it.

Unfortunately I can't make it out tonight - but want to wish all the best to this year's seniors. Each one made his own unique contribution to the program. I wish them great success - wherever their path in life takes them.

Congrats guys - you were all excellent representatives for the University of Massachusetts. Proud to have you wearing the uniform. :D
Llewelyn Moss: Is uh, Carson Wells there?
Anton Chigurh: Not in the sense that you mean.

It's probably unfortunate low had to deal with a change in coach and a change in system. He was primed for a really great year but his performance this year has been slightly above average at best.

The bottom line is that this year we are a better team with him than without him so people shouldn't bash him like they have been. (including me)

Next year is going to be a huge character shift in the team. Seems like Gaffney and Bonner keep guys pretty relaxed and are good leaders.

A part of me thinks harris may be too quiet to be a leader. We'll see who takes that role next year
