I'd take Carmelo over anyone in a game of HORSE. I remember being at a shootaround before a game, I think at Rutgers, and he was standing at the top of the opposite key with his back to the far basket and launching one-handed 70-footers over his shoulder. Regularly hitting at least the backboard, if not the rim. Can't remember if he hit one or not.
Of course, press conference podiums seemed to be his Achilles' heel.

I wrote this ... it's gotta be true.
Before it is all said and done, many will change their opinion of Glass. He is more athletic than he has shown and is capable of handling the ball as well. I don't know why he and GC haven't shown their skills yet, but I think it's coming for Matt. It may have something to do with 2 coaches in their first 2 years. Not sure but the number of High D1 offers he had coming out is an indication that something is there. So much of what separates the levels of play is confidence. Confidence is hard to acquire when your coach doesn't have it in you. As MG's confidence increases so will his level of play. Hopefully this will be the case with Gibbs and Correia, once DK shows some confidence in them.
Seems to me his foul shooting wasn't great, which could be a serious drawback for horse. Or is that a different game? 21?Dickie Dunn wrote:I'd take Carmelo over anyone in a game of HORSE. What does Horse have to do with anything? If it did, my 75 year old father would be king with his sick hook shot.Dickie Dunn wrote:I'd take Carmelo over anyone in a game of HORSE. I'll pick Kinard in a game of Heart.
