"Doug Wiggins said he achieved the necessary grade of a B or higher in a Bio class at UConn and that his transfer to UMass is now official. Wiggins, still working out at UConn, won't head to Amherst until late August."

"Jack didn’t have any envy in him," Calipari said. "He was the greatest coach to ever coach here."

Surprised nobody posted this. It was in the Live Blog MassLive did on the game tonight....
But first, there is breaking news. Junior Doug Wiggins has officially been suspended indefinitely by UMass for an off-campus incident.
The Amherst police log is reporting that he was arrested at 3:49 a.m. on Saturday for breaking and entering a Pufton Village apartment. Wiggins was arrested after being found in the resident's bathroom.
Wiggins also has a history of legal issues at his previous school, Connecticut after failing two drug tests. The Collegian will give updates as more information comes out.
Turns out, just because you write your name on a baby doesn't mean you get to keep it."

I mentioned it in the other thread, and I feel its worth repeating. We knew what we were getting with this kid: a wrap sheet. He should have had a one strike policy. We need players, but we don't need to become college hoops equivalent of the Cowboys either.
I guess Kellogg/McCutcheon's stance of "innocent until proven guilty" is somewhat respectable, but on the other hand, it makes me feel dirty to have a player on the roster who can't stay out of the arrest report.
