2022 CAA Tourney

Post by Old Cage » Sun May 01, 2022 6:56 am

CAA Tourney: We are #3 and play #2 Towson on Thursday at 7. #1 Delaware vs. #4 Drexel is the other semi.

At 8-5, we had the second best overall record in the CAA.

Here's the game: https://streamstak.com/lsn/

Terrible first quarter. Down 6-2. Time of possession all Towson.

Now that's a little better. Down 8-7 at the half. Liljeberg having fun - with two goals - accelerating past a 6'7" defender.

All downhill from there. Outscored 6-zip in the third and lose 18-10.

Well, while UMass climbed out of a hole 1-3 start to this season, and did beat Brown, the team had a terrible road record at 2-5 (1 neutral) and was erratic in play, even quarter to quarter, as shown by the 0-6 third quarter yesterday. 6-1 at home was terrific, but that was 1/2 of the games played.

It will be interesting to see how Coach rebuilds after losing so many seniors and graduate students.

Delaware is in the "elite eight" having just beaten Number 2 - Georgetown.

Very surprising but nice for "CAA".
