Well, we now see the schedule.

Unfortunately with the Ivies still 'dark', we miss annual meetings with Harvard, Brown, and Yale. Perhaps they can be added later? Yale is the most important for any added OOC game.

In any event, for the NCAA's, it will be all about winning the CAA championship, in my view.

Most early speculations are that we will be on top.

Go Gorillas and UMass!!!!

So it looks like Game 1 will get postponed. Game 2 falls on the 14th day, so who knows on that one. This BLOWS.

The Army game slot next week is now a game at Virginia, who look very strong.

I wonder if the Army and UMASS Lowell games will get rescheduled or some other teams booked? Anyone have a clue?

I'd say the Lowell game is slightly more likely than Army. That said as of now, UML sees the game next week on Tuesday, Feb 23rd at 1 pm. https://goriverhawks.com/sports/mens-la ... edule/2021

It is worth noting that the UMASS schedule does not reflect this change. https://umassathletics.com/sports/mens- ... /schedule

So, we will see what we see.

But, COVID wreaks havoc on schedules and teams will prioritize League games.

The OOC schedule is a second priority for all colleges, a real shame for Gorillas, given how many local rivalry games that Coach C. has scheduled over the years. Many colleges are only scheduling weekend games, so very short schedules without mid-week games.

We have never seen a more volatile schedule in sports, across college and professional, in my memory.

Well, Ivies just canceled all Spring '21 sports schedules, some training activities allowed. Too bad.

We will open on Tuesday @ Lowell @1.

New schedule - might be the same as posted here on Wednesday: https://umassathletics.com/sports/mens- ... e/schedule

Saw this on Inside Lacrosse. Maybe a game against Harvard or Yale???

Potential opportunities for local spring competition
If public health conditions substantially improve and if permitted by an institution, local non-conference competition may be allowed to occur this spring. These competitions will be subject to league stipulations and must remain consistent with institutional policies for comparable co-curricular activities, including applicable travel restrictions for on-campus students and university visitor policies.

Yale has already foregone the season. Other Ivies like Cornell have had basically their entire rosters withdraw from school to maintain eligibility. I know the release said there was a small chance for local competitions but I don't see the Ivy League competing this season at all.

UMass already had to call some audibles losing Army and moving Lowell. There really isn't a lot of wiggle room in the schedule this season. It's obviously ever-changing in this COVID world but the slate they have isn't likely to add an Ivy this season.

Maybe it was a good thing the Army game was canceled. They played Virginia tough and ruined Syracuse.
