Mid-30's and snow showers during the game. Just about right. :)

Edit: I guess that the later afternoon hours look better.

An excellent quarter for the Gorillas! 4-1 lead even though we won only one of six faceoffs. Announcer said we "punched Yale in the mouth."

6-3 lead at the half. Sconone making good saves, but his clears not so much.

8-7 after three. We led 8-3 and then the tide turned. Bad situation for Sconone looking right into the low sun.

Complete collapse by UMass. We have had the ball for maybe 2 minutes since 8 minutes left in the third period. What was an 8-3 lead is now an 11-9 deficit. Yale has won at least 10 straight face offs. Our guy has no chance.

Wow. Trainor with .4 seconds left. Going to OT. Myers won the face off he had to win.

A very tough loss, but we were pretty lucky to come back with 2 goals to tie in the last 75 seconds, or so.

Too many unforced errors, Yale's fogo dominated. And we basically could do nothing in Q3, into most of Q4, mostly due to Yale offensive ball time dominance.

Yale won it all last year, are rated #4 this year. We have a lot of solid players, but no one dominant who can control the game.

During O.T., with a 1 minute 'locked in' penalty, not having anyone backing up on a shot is a bad mental error. It cost us.

Last, we hurt ourselves with too many hard/high hits and resulting penalties. Referees are calling these closer every year, and I watched 2 other college LAX games this pm. They are calling penalties on clean, but HARD hits. This needs to be coached out from the players. The refs are ahead of the rules.

In watching a LOT of college lax, UMass is a contender, and losing 2 O.T. games is tough. Unfortunately, CAA still a 1 entry league. In my view - ACC, Big 10, Big East and Patriot will have 2 or more.

So, it is still all about peaking at end of the season, and Towson is the big boy to go through in CAA this season.

On the other hand, Lax is remarkably competitive across the 'top 30', or so. Lots of talent.
Feeling entitled is JUST a feeling...
