At the risk of this being negative, this might be addition by subtraction. She was our leading scorer, but not a particularly good shooter.

That was particularly problematic when we were also dead last in the A10 in rebounding. That's a bad combo.

There've gotta be lots of options in the portal that can produce higher shooting rates than that.

As a team, we couldn't shoot (40% which got us 58 points per game), we couldn't rebound (-8.3 per game) and we couldn't defend (45% for 71 points per game). There are a couple of DI players on the roster but Mike needs to upgrade the roster by a lot to get them competitive.

^^ The first recruiting class after Verdi left something to be desired and didn't address our needs which was practically EVERYTHING!
I'm waiting to see the recruits Coach Leflar brings in this year before any I raise any questions!

no need to worry. mr bamford has the solution. just move to the MAC and our record will get better, no need to make any changes to coaching staff or program. Just take the easy way and drop to a lower conference.

@TheNextHoops is reporting Sophmore Oakland G Brooke Quarles-Daniel’s is on a visit to UMass. Quarles-Daniel’s is 5’7” and averaged 13.6 points, 6.6 rebounds, 3 assists and 2.3 steals per game.
