I hope I have my facts straight. Longwood University's women's team was in the NCAA tournament last year. So, SLU fired their coach, and hired Longwood's coach who just happened to bring some of her best players with her. You might say SLU took advantage of the transfer portal and "bought" this year's A-10 championship. Of course, UMass tried to do the same thing with Frank Martin, but Martin was fired, he didn't take his last year's SC team to the NCAA tournament, and he sure as hell didn't bring his best players with him.

This game goes to show you that every missed free throw matters.
I'm sure most of us have felt that way from time to time. However, that's the formula he used last year with the same 7 players getting most of the minutes. The only difference this year is in the results.

they went 17-17 not sure bought is the right term. They did a good job against umass, but if UMass' star plays like a star in the tourney this is not a game. In her last three a10 game she shot 14/43.

^ Yep, Sam had a subpar tourney for her, and you can't say it was all SLU since she struggled all weekend!

Seriously, you're gonna blame Sam Breen? As a team they didn,'t play their best.

SLU is embarrassing itself and the A10 today. They are losing to Tennessee (that, in itself, is not an embarrassment) by 26 after 3 quarters.

They were playing respectable until the 2nd q media timeout imo.

Does everyone who loses an NCAA Tournament game “embarrass” themselves and their league? What feelings do the teams have that lost to those teams and those who lost multiple times? Just wondering. Might impact watching the rest of the tournaments if they are so negatively impacting so many😁

As an FYI UMass played Tennessee competitively this year in Knoxville.

Frustrating to see this SLU result today.

UM hung with UT in November, falling by 9.
SLU got blitzed by 45.
Both on UT's floor.

Imagine if UM had beaten St Louis either of the two (2) times they played them. Win the first and there is chance they earn an At-Large bid, win the second and they get an Automatic bid. Win them both and they get a decent seed.
That’s the frustrating part…..
