This teams completely not competitive. Looks like bam bam should have found another coach instead of this train wreck

It's early Dr. Yankum . . . 7 games in but it does appear we didn't get any size via the transfer portal and now we're down to 7 players and it ain't the Savage Seven!

Need a roster reset. No height is one problem. 4/25 from the field and 17 turnovers between the 2 point guards is Jr. High material.

Still have to wonder why all the remaining talent from last years team chose to leave, especially since they were supposed to be such a tight team. Replacing Sam would have been tough but there was a LOT of talent returning.

^ And add to that, nobody followed Verdi to Pitt. I'm coming to the conclusion that things weren't as rosy as they appeared. Just a hunch, but it's based on what happened in the off-season.

I just checked the schedule. We play at 1-6 Yale tomorrow. Yale isn't very good (I know, we aren't either). Their only win was over a 2-4 Marist team and Yale only scores around 60 points per game. We probably won't be favored, but this is our best shot at a win in a while.

Trail 34 - 22 at the half. Getting killed on the boards. Have 9 players dressed for this game. Yale did not get called for a foul until 30 sec left in the second period Of course they are playing at Yale.

We loose , final score is 70 - 62. The 2 players that played their first game for Umass looked like they will be good players for UMass.

Berky, we only had 1 new player tonight, Chinenye Odenigbo, the 6'5 player from Boston. Mapp was back after missing the last 2 games. She's 6'0 so she also gives us a little height. 2 things killed us tonight:
1. We cannot rebound. It was 36-21 for Yale.
2. A player for Yale, Capstraw, was shooting 23% from 3 prior to this game. Tonight, she was 5/10.

For those whose basketball knowledge goes across to mens and NBA; Capstraw’s father is former Wagner HC and long time Nets color man Tim Capstraw. TC coached both baseball and basketball at Wagner, and was the baseball coach right after graduation at like 22!

^ Anyway you look at it, it's going to be a long year! There's no Mayo out there who can control a game, no consistent scorers and rebounding, always a Verdi strength is weak! Our only "warrior" is Steph and she's struggles trying to do too much!

Trail BC 24 - 16 after 1 period. Hayduk is out with an ankle sprain and they are wearing those bad black uniforms.
