First I just want to thank my family and village God has put in my life and I am honored to announce my commitment to the reigning A10 champs the University of Massachusetts @UMassWBB @CoachVerdiUMass
5'9" guard who one website I found ranks as the #1 guard in her class in Delaware.

If the state of Delaware had the same quantity as a California, Texas, Florida, UM would be a national player

Some news on Bahati. She would be a good get for Verdi. She averaged 13.1 points, 8.5 boards and 5.8 blocks for the State Champion Central team. She was their leading scorer at 13.1, but they are a very balanced team so I'm not thrown by that number.

Maddie lists us in her final eight:
Prospect Media @prospectmedia_ Β·Jul 25
Maddie Webber WENT OFF for 40PTS including 9 (3 Pointers) in her AAU Finale impressing college recruiters in attendance
Her stock just went WAY UP
@MaddieAWebber @SLAAMBASKETBALL @
Tory is making finalist lists against the likes of Villanova, St. John's and Penn. Outstanding.

^ Maddie committed to Villanova tonight. From her video it looks like we were her 2nd choice, or maybe the second hat means nothing. Anyhow, she's pretty good but Verdi really doesn't need to recruit much more for 2023 with 1 commit already and possibly 12 of the 14 coming back.
For certain we lose Sam and Destiny and no two players can duplicate what they bring. Sid and Angelique both have their Covid extension available so maybe they come back. I'll worry about 2023 when this season is over. Top 25 is not out of the question.

Chinenye Odenigbo had a great official visit at Umass Amherst
(6'6" center at Noble and Greenough with offers from Michigan State, Ohio State, and Pitt among others. Interesting that we are one of her five "officials.")

Another one for Tory:
Camden Catholic and New Heights NYCβs Aaryn Battle commits to UMass hoops.
Class of 2023 New Heights NYC and Camden Catholic High Schoolβs Aaryn Battle has verbally committed Division I University of Massachusetts Womenβs basketball program, yesterday her South Jersey high school Tweeted.
The 5-10 guard, who Camden Catholic calls βan incredibly disciplined and self-motivated player whoβs consistently hungry to get better and help the team win,β in a Tweet, drained 348 points (14.0 ppg), dished out 124 assists (5.2 apg) and had a team-high 74 steals (3.2 spg) last season

Has anyone seen anything on Chinenye Odenigbo? She's the key to next year's class. No LOI yesterday as far as I can see.

There are seven (7) Sophomores and Freshman on this years squad. Through one (1) game , the total contribution from the seven (7) is 11 minutes and no points ( it is one (1) player). I know that there are injuries in those two (2) classes; but there are always injuries in those two (2) classes in the TV era.
