We were an AQ for the WNIT
Yes, if regular season champions do not win their conference tournament and do not go to NCAAW, autobid to WNIT. So, URI gets an autobid as well. According to NIT predictor, we have about a 10% chance to win it all.

From Mike Traini:
Fight Massachusetts

Looking for the silver lining here, UMass as the 3rd team out of the NCAAT means they should all but be guaranteed a #1-seed in the @WomensNIT
As a #1 they'll host games at the Mullins Center, potentially all the way to the title game provided they don't face a higher-ranked #1

Holy Cross made the NCAA tourney. That whole bracket is premature. We'll know tomorrow.

We got an automatic bid to the WNIT because we are the regular season champions. Probably have a home game on Tues or Wed. Don't know who the opponent will be.

Too bad. Had we beaten St. Louis in that late regular season game, we probably would have made it.
I feel bad as I felt we had an NCAA tournament team.

Now if I can remember from the past when the men were in the NIT everyone even students had to pay to get into the games. Not sure if it was the court club or some other group provided tickets for the students so we could get them into the games. I think their cost was $ 5. I am sure that we will get a home game to start the tournament and who knows how it will go on assuming we win.

Great season, ladies. Go show the NIT what you’re all about.
Retarded artistically. Idiotic in other respects.

Wow, surprised we were that close. Also, feel bad for Columbia, IMO one of the best teams we faced this year after Tennessee.

I see SLU drew Tennessee in Knoxville. Would be a good comparison based on us playing them in November.

Agree with the #1 seed in NIT and hopefully we can make a deep run at Mullins. Appreciate the opportunity to see Sam and Destiney play at Mullins again.

First Round games are Wed-Fri, thankfully not Tuesday because weather is going to be messy.
