Didn’t watch the game, but WBB has an advance after a TO rule like the NBA in the last minute of Q4 or any OT. They get the ball 28’ from basket.

That is what happened and we made the shot. Good play drawn up in the TO.

^ Give Verdi credit for that. He had a very short time (one second?) to call that TO before Sam let go of the baseline inbounds pass after the Richmond hoop.

Edit: And the game winning drive and hoop make ESPN's Top 10.

Give TV the credit, but situations like those are presented and reviewed in practice constantly- Time and Score situations- In the preceding Time Outs - that’s why he gets the big bucks.

Here's the SC Top Ten Video. It was a much harder shot than I thought. Props to Mayo.

I've watched more UMass womems basketball this and last year than I have in the entire rest of my life. And I gotta admit, I enjoy it. This team really is assembled well. Mayo & Philoxy the ball handlers/facilitators, Sidney is the sniper, Breen is the do it all leader, Makenna and Angelique just control the inside on the glass and defensively while still scoring. Smith has been very solid off the bench. They play hard, share the ball, play D, and play for the W instead of individual stats. This is a team people will talk about years down the road.
Keep it rolling ladies, people are noticing your hard work!

By far, the toughest stretch of A10 games for the women. 4 games in 8 days (3 on the road) against the teams ranked 7,6 3 and 2 in the A10. @URI today who is #3 and finally a home game Wednesday against #2 Dayton.

Since we only play 7 players I wonder how much gas is left in the tank? I'd love to see a sweep but realistically I'll settle for 1 out of the 2.

Not much left in the tank. Philoxy first half: 0-2 shooting, 2 assists, 3 TO in 19 minutes.
