This season is starting to look like too many others for all 3 winter teams and it's a real downer. One or two of the teams has to get their act together and start stringing together some wins. I'd love to see all 3 do it, but that may be too much to ask.

Horrible 1st Q and trail 16-8. Lots of turnovers, 7 I think.

Getting worse and we trail 21 - 8 early in the 2nd Q.

Played better in the latter part of the 2nd Q and cut the lead down and only trail 29 - 22. Mave Donnaly got in the game and made a couple of good plays. Lasalle was shooting over 50 % on 3's early but has cooled down.

Not getting better and we trail 49 - 38. Philoxi got hurt and probably will not play. A lot of fouling in the 3rd Q and we got a couple of players with 4 fouls.

Final is we loose 69 - 63. I don't know what has happened to our shooting. In the low 30's again. Only made 3 out of 16 3 pointers. Very frustrating watching the last couple of games.

The sudden collapse of this team is due manly to "burnout"! Playing the starters for almost 35 minutes per game has caught up with them . . . shooting % has gone down each game and the TO's have gone way up. Sure signs of mid/late season fatigue!

Also, UMass has played more games than most teams and has not had to shut down team activities for rest. SLU played I believe their 4th and 5th games against us. St. Joes paused team activities. I think we got off to a good start because we were consistently playing and could get in a rhythm and now we are burned out compared to much more fresh teams.

Some good news on the women's side of things. First, tomorrow they play GMU, who sucks, averaging 51 points a game (44.6 in conference).

Then this from The Collegian:
On top of some added mental fortitude, the Minutewomen have made some additions to their rotation. Verdi said that he expects Maeve Donnelly, last year’s starting center who has played just 23 minutes this season, to get some more looks on the court this weekend. Bench guard Desiree Oliver is also expected to return from injury and provide a much-needed spark to the second unit offense with some scoring punch.
Edit: Oliver has been pretty much forgotten this season so I looked up her bio. She was in the HoopGurlz top 100 in 2017, rated higher than Kulesza was this year. Let's hope she can step in and help.

No game today. Campus-wide shutdown.
"Jack didn’t have any envy in him," Calipari said. "He was the greatest coach to ever coach here."

Shutdown goes into effect @ 2:00 pm, should have moved game up to 11:00 am, given that George Mason had already traveled.

What needs to happen for UMass to get a return to play? Any idea if they will make it to the A10 tournament?
