We went 5.5 min without a basket and now trail 23 - 20 at the half.

I'm not sure I've ever seen UMass WBB beat Dayton either in person, on tv, radio, etc. Yesterday was so close. We outrebounded Dayton and played an all around good game. We held one of their best players to 1-12 from the field. There are so many positives to take away from last night, but it still stung. I watched the final sequence a few times in replay and I thought that the calls were right. Watching it live was a different story. Still, we had long scoreless stretches (often in the second quarter) and gave up a lot of offensive rebounds in the 4th quarter. I believe the commentators said that UMass allowed 12 second chance points in the 4th quarter alone.

As frustrating as this short stretch has been, it is nothing compared to 6 years ago. Just saw a memory on Facebook that we were at a 15 game losing streak, 0-11 in conference and on our way to a 4-26 season WHICH WAS AN IMPROVEMENT over the 2012-13 season where we went 3-27. We will have a winning record this year which is another step forward. Hope we win @ St. Louis and then can finish off with wins against Davidson, @ St. Joe's, and Rhode Island. Would love for Hailey and Vashnie to have a home playoff game as their last home game here in Amherst.

With four games to play, we are in 7th place and half a game up for the tiebreaker for 8th/9th and a half game out for 4th. We would have the tiebreaker with Duquesne I believe. Home playoff games for 3rd - 8th. I think going at least 2-2 down the stretch keeps us at home but hope we can get more than 2.

Tied at 18 after 1. The color gal is a former St. Louis player and she is reffing and very biased.

Another bad 2nd quarter. Hope they can turn it around 2nd half.

On their way to getting blown out at St. Louis and will fall to 6-7 in conference play once this one ends. Last year they finished 7-9 in conference, and this year they will likely end up 8-8. They played an extremely week OOC schedule, and the beginning of the conference schedule was against the worst teams. The program is clearly better than it was 4 years ago, but has Verdi hit his peak here? We hear so much about how great the recruiting classes are each year and then the team falls back to mediocrity as the season progresses. This team needs to show a big leap next year.

Gone worse. Everything they are shooting is going in and we went about 8 min without scoring a point. Forget this one. Trail 61 - 38 after 3.

Glad we don't play until this weekend. We have not had a bye yet in the Atlantic 10. Seems like the team needs a little bit of extra rest. Two of the remaining three are at home. We are a half game up on 3 teams (GW, Richmond, LaSalle) for the 8th playoff spot and a home game. We have the tiebreaker with Richmond and LaSalle.
