2018 Recruits
Re: 2018 Recruits
So far, it's difficult to not love every coach Bamford has brought to Amherst. Verdi looks like the perfect coach for this program and I love the direction of women's hoops!

Re: 2018 Recruits
Giles was the last player off the bench this year and if the new recruits are any good, her playing time would be even less next year. I wish her well.SUTS Report

#TransferNews Autumn Giles leaving UMass. Played at Fort Myers HS.
Re: 2018 Recruits
We had these 5 early on and nothing has changed as far as I know except for Giles and Allesch transferring. That puts the roster at 12.

Re: 2018 Recruits
Giles and Allesch were very good players coming into UMass. In fact Giles was a MCD All American nominee and a top player from Florida. Allesch was playing at the wrong position throughout the entire season. At this point under Verdi no one should be transferring. What is really going on?69MG wrote: ↑Wed May 02, 2018 11:16 amWe had these 5 early on and nothing has changed as far as I know except for Giles and Allesch transferring. That puts the roster at 12.

I'm throwing this in here because I didn't want to start a new thread. I hope she commits.

Re: 2018 Recruits
Signing her would be rather unique. We would have a unique player an both the men's and women's hoop teams if the male player sticks around.
All due respect, and I mean that from the bottom of my heart, I'm gonna pass.

Re: 2018 Recruits
Just renewed my season tickets -- the window opened today. 11 years strong.
Call me crazy, but I just have a good feeling about next year with the incoming class. Not setting the sights too high, but I am just hoping for a winning season and a first-round home playoff game and win at the Mullins Center. (Based on the previous 10 seasons, this may be too high of expectations.

I have a good feeling about next year. I just hope we don’t lose anymore players or coaches. Both of the associate coaches left. One is at USF in Florida and the other is not coaching at all. The program is headed in the right direction I believe but we shouldn’t lose anymore players. As of today I don’t see where we have any 2019 recruits/commits.
