A10 Rookie of the Week for Leidel, 3rd time this year. I wish the men's team had a shooter like her. :)

Gals are playing the Bonnies at 11 this morning in the annual kids field day game. It looks like it will be streamed for FREE for anyone who wants to see the much improved women's BB team.

Gals lost to GW this afternoon in double OT 60 - 54. Real bad loss. Had a 15 point lead after 3 periods and got outscored in the fourth 15 - 0 to have the game go into OT. Had chances. Our big gal was controlled pretty good getting double teamed when she got the ball down low and I think she only scored 5 points. Will post the link to the write up when it comes available.

15-0 in the 4th??? Not very good. Would of been a huge win over a GW team that is now tied for 1st in A10 play. Things are still very much on the rise in Amherst for the Minutewomen!

As good as they shot in the 3rd period to get the 15 point lead was how bad they shot in the 4th to not score a point. Should have won this game. Link to write up:

Sounds like they were spent in the 4th quarter. Too bad they don't have a couple of additional kids who can spell the starters.

Looks like the same thing happened in the La Salle game this afternoon and they lost 680-064. Link to write up:

That is what happens when you don't check what you write. Nice to see some people following the gals these days. Just wish they had about three more players the coach could use to give the regulars a break once in a while.

Don't need a safe. Don't have anything valuable to put in one.

Not to be overly dramatic, but this season for the women reminds a bit of Calipari's first year. The players are stepping up and putting faith in the new coach. If Verdi can recruit like he coaches then maybe the women can have a rivalry with UConn in a few years.
