2014-15

Post by MikeUMA » Thu Mar 27, 2014 3:31 pm

Thread for 2014-15. To get it started, this bit of scheduling news:

Matty V reported in the football-leaving-the-MAC story that although men's basketball doesn't have to play any further MAC games, women's hoop does have to play one more set of four.

UM went 1-3 against the MAC last season.

I saw there was a new post here and was hoping the school found a way to get the head coach out of town. Oh well........

Same here 78.

Any idea why the women didn't get out of the MAC deal?

And was this only the hoops teams that had to play MAC teams?

When I heard they were sicking with the MAC games, I just assumed it was because they wanted to keep "lesser" teams to maybe help gain some wins next year, or they have had trouble scheduling and didn't want to lose 4 set games on the schedule.

I'm surprised the MAC didn't want to drop the games since UMass is killing their RPI.

That's what I thought the MAC was going do. It was just an assumption though and we all know what happens when you make assumptions!

Should play the games in the courts in Southwest. Attendance would be higher with everyone that could glance out of their dorm window.

22-97 is Dawley's record. Will we get to 25 wins or 100 losses first?

But then they would black out the windows of people's dorms so they have to pay for tickets, just like when they covered the fence at The Hill.

This might be the best thing that has happened to the WBB program in years. A 7 time WNBA all-star and a member of the Women's BB Hall of Fame added as an assistant coach.
