Ladies tip off in about 45 minutes against the 5-0 Fordham Ewes in NYC.

Catch them on WMUA or the A-10 network

She's incredible. Best women's player we've had in a long time.
Looking forward to the 2022 UMass Football Season (Oh boy, just jinxed that one)

^ hey 78, just peeked in to see my first women's game and it is a pathetic showing as I suspected! (36-19 at the half)

Good news. Women bounce back to beat Davidson, 60-49. Pierre-Louis passes the 1,000 point mark. She has been excellent this year. Congratulations, Kim!

Ladies finished the A-10 season at 5-11. That obviously isn't where we want to be, but it is our highest win total in Dawley's tenure. At least things are on the upswing.

We face Bona in the opening round of the tourney, Wednesday at 4:30. Game will stream:

Unfortunately Bona beat us twice in the regular season, so we've got our work cut out for us.

^ URI was 8-7 in conference and 16-11 overall going into the game so that's a pretty good win for the ladies.

This is Dawley's fifth season and her first double digit win total(11-17). Last year it was 4-27 and overall she is 33-114 for a .224 winning percentage. I would have to think the new AD has to look hard at this situation!

Sharon Dawley was named as the 10th head coach in the history of the University of Massachusetts women's basketball program on April 6, 2010, and begins her fifth season at the helm for the Minutewomen in 2014-15.

Unfortunately she has two more years remaining on her contract unless somehow the university finds money to buy out her contract.

Nice upset win by the women. Dawley may have saved her job.

She don't have to worry about her job. Two years remaining on her contract and I really doubt that there is any money available to buy out her contract. However depending on who we get for the new AD the situation could change but I think we are stuck with her for two more years.

Appreciate the enthusiasm, but you do realize that this was #13 beating #12. Both 5-11 in A!0, not exactly high on the upset meter.

Well, I believe the Bonnies beat us twice during the season, so there is that.
