WAHOOOOOO. 3-3. Not sure how good UCF is, but it really doesn't matter. Happy to see this team at .500 6 games into the season. I guess McCutch knew what he was doing with the 7-year-contract.

Seriously, who cares how good UCF is. This program beating anybody is great!

Way to go ladies!

^ This lady could be the reason. I had no idea of her resume. "The Michael Jordan of women's basketball."

There are a lot of posts re: Yolanda on page 1 of this thread if anyone wants more info. I have little doubt that she has had an impact. Someone posted earlier, maybe the head coach in waiting.

^ A bit of a reach to say she is the reason for the "improvement". The records of YG 3 year college coaching career are 14-16, 6-22 and 6-22.

^ She knows the game and she has skills so I am confident that she is making a difference.
Props to the girls, they won today 71-61 over American.

There was a piece on Yolanda during the UMass show this morning. I'm sure she has more knowledge of the sport than Dawley. This is a very young team, if they can play near .500 they might actually have a future!

Way to go, ladies! It pains me to say this, but I think they definitely are going to win more games than hockey this year.

You can't possibly be certain of something that is not true. SD has 20 years of head coaching experience. As an assistant at Dartmouth, YG was part of back-to-back 6-20 teams and the year after she leaves Lafayette they start 5-2. She is at at UM because she worked for CW at Dartmouth as did SD. Where were all the big time programs when YG wanted to get into coaching? Where were all the big time programs when YG left Dartmouth? Where were all the big time programs when YG left Lafayette?
Don't forget that there is a womens' coach who has won more than 900 games in a 37 year career and has only 3 losing seasons in 37..........her three years at UM.
Nothing personally against YG, but she's not the answer. She has done absolutely nothing in her coaching career, that warrants any of these inane statements.
UM is a very difficult place to win, even without the compressor problems.

Another win. 72-61 over Holy Cross. The women move to 5-4.
Looking forward to the 2022 UMass Football Season (Oh boy, just jinxed that one)

Keep it going, ladies. This is excellent. I cannot remember the last time this team had a better than .500 winning percentage! 8)

They started off the season 1-0 last year before ending something like 3-27

Cierra Dillard had 21 I believe -- bright spot for the team and I think the second leading scorer! Pretty solid total team effort today!

Looks like there is finally something brewing for women's hoops. Playing well and they are young! Could be better than the men's team next season...
