This "program" has a .441 winning percentage overall and hasn't had a winning percentage for fifteen years. They had a few good years with Joanie but I feel sorry for anyone who follows or wants to follow this team. It's asking a LOT from anyone which is evidenced by the 300 or so that attend games.

I had season tickets in the mid 90's. Granted it was just to get points for Men's hoops, but I went to most games. Don't recall there were many more than 300 in attendance then either.
Raise the bar, do the minimum.

I still go and counted 30 people at tipoff last Weds. The 300 has to include band, cheerleaders, mullins center staff, etc and perhaps season ticket holders (are there any more left?) that did not go.

Got a W today to snap the 17-game losing streak. 69-56 over Rhode Island.

The next game for the women is Senior Night.

The good news - the only senior is Bomben

The bad news - everyone else is back

Sorry for the disrespect but this is a sorry team right now.

85-51.

Think this is it for Dawley? They could buy her out for 3 yrs with all the savings from not doing the same for Molnar

I love UMass and Amherst...and I'm heavily involved in WBB. I've been coaching for 15+ years now including AAU where I have coached WNBA pro's like Epiphanny Prince and Kia Vaughn. I would love to coach at my Alma Mater and whenever UMass decides they want me...I'm here and I'd take the job dirt cheap!!!

Some of my career highlights -

92-95 - Manager for Coach Cal - Graduated in '96

03-04 - HC at D-3 John Jay College - single season winningest coach, first post season in school history

04-05 - HC @ The Patterson School in North Carolina, won the NACA National Championship, coached Angel McCoughtry (WNBA All-Star/Olympian) there.

05-07 - HC @ Notre Dame Prep in Massachusetts, had 18 players sign D-1 in 3 years including Nicole Michael (Syracuse) and Brittany Spears (Colorado), UMass didn't recruit any of my players.

08-10 - Asst @ Marshall Univ. for Royce Chadwick - in 2008 signed the nation's 52 best recruiting class per CGBR.

10-12 - HC @ Columbia State, D-1 juco in TN. - Turned around a team which won 8 games in 2 years prior combined...won 20 games my 2nd year, lost in Regional Finals to Nationally ranked #5 Walters St.

12-13 - HC @ Fisk Univ. - won first ever NAIA conference games (won 4 conf games, first GCAC wins in school history)

13-14 - Asst Coach Florida State Jacksonville - Top 15 D-1 juco program nationally. Mid FL Conf Champs.

As well I have been running NCAA sanctioned exposure tournaments since 2004...the biggest one's being ATL Summer Slam in Atlanta and previously before Marshall, the Big Apple TOC in NYC.
