She's got some big guns on her. Probably take RoadTrip down in an arm wrestling match

We also signed Megan Olbrys from Villanova. Both seem like really solid additions.

Another UMass women's player exits to the portal, Jermany Mapp. Spent one year here, coming over after 3 years at Hampton. Has one (COVID) year left.

First, congrats to Lilly Taulelei for going to the Big 12 with Iowa State. While that is a big loss for us, it does show that Mike can find some talent. Really hard to put together a team from the portal and no starters.

I am not concerned too much about the exodus from last year besides Taulelei -- the record shows that the team was not great. A few are concerned about Kristin leaving, but such a streaky shooter and the defense was generally lacking. I thought her ceiling could have been around Destiney Philoxy's, but it just never turned out that way here. Best of luck at Coastal Carolina though.

The talent coming in is exciting though, definitely hope for a better year next year. They need to play as a team and have each other's backs -- definitely saw and heard from others that was lacking a lot at times.

^ I think that expectations should go beyond getting good players!!

Getting them to play and develop here will lead to wins and I think that is what a coach actually is paid to do😁

Agree, but with the transfer rules, I think there needs to be some sort of realism here. I was just saying that it is good that Mike found good talent. Makes me believe in the process just a bit more. When we had Sharon as the coach, her recruits were leaving after a year to play D2 ball and we were all waiting that contract out.

Without doing any research, I recall Dawley had All League players who transferred to UNebraska and UBuffalo. Have we forgotten that Hailey Leidel was a Dawley recruit?

^ It's been documented by Tory himself that UMass out recruited him for Heidel when he was at EMU!
