If the last couple of games in the 21 - 22 season did not get cancelled then Haley Lidel would have broken Sue Peters scoring record and then Sam Breen would have broken Haley's record. Lets not forget what she did for our program.

Agree fully with Hailey -- IIRC we were waiting to see if we would have gotten a WNIT which likely would have been away in 2020.

Sidenote, she just won a championship in her league. She is still playing pro ball in Cyprus.

Hailey was great! She was instrumental in helping build this.

she should get a banner like the Cale banner. Marcus camby should get one too for his 95-96 Naismith College Player of the year award

The award that Cale got was the top award in Mens’ College Hockey, just like award that Marcus got was the top award in Mens’ College Basketball . And is not recognized at the Mullins Center. The award that Sam received was not the top award in Women’s College Basketball. It is an admirable and well earned award, but it is not one at same level as the others, and shouldn’t be treated as if it is; nothing personal.

Okay where is Marcus' banner? I've got no problem with putting banners up in the rafters. This is a major national award

^ First off, there should be a banner for MC and his Naismith Player of Year Award

Quick lunchtime Google Search
Womens College Basketball Award
(I make no claim as to the completeness of this list)

Naismith Player of the Year
WBCA Player of the Year
AP Womens’ Colege Basketball Player of the Year
The above are the awards that are banner worthy.

Not banner worthy
The Wade Trophy (WBC)
Lisa Leslie Center of the Year
Katrina McClain Power Forward of the Year
Ann Meyers Drysdale (Shooting Guard) Award
Nancy Lieberman Award (Point Guard)
John R Wooden (WBB) Award
WBCA Defensive Player of the Year

The award that SB received did appear in my search.
Not having a banner does not diminish the honor, but this award does not rise to the level of a banner, as does CM’s and MC’s.

For women's basketball that we have a player getting involved in a national award and winning this award is a huge deal. It is like the IAA heisman. She needs a banner, marcus def needs a banner.

^ At the beginning of the year, TV indicated that the schedule for this year was strengthened to help get to the Top 25 and make it possible to get an At-Large bid to the NCAA ( not going to rehash those points). The award that SB won is not available to players in the following conferences; ACC, Big12, Big East, Big 10, PAC-12, SEC.
Wouldn’t the best way to improve the program be to aspire to not be considered Mid-Major?
