Has never played more than 7 , playing the #19 team UCLA (actually going to be Kent State) and pushed the minutes when he didn’t have to.
Substituting is a coaching skill that TV does not feel he possesses. It doesn’t take a high level of coaching skill to keep the same players in for 38-40 minutes in a +15 point win.

I really don't understand this. I think TV is doing a good job overall however how can a head coach not feel capable of using more than 7 players, even during the closing minutes of a game where the outcome had been all but decided?
All due respect, and I mean that from the bottom of my heart, I'm gonna pass.

In a year of surprises, they keep on coming. Kent State beat #19 UCLA 75-69. Now I have to check out Kent State to see if they're really that good! :)

Very curious. Even just letting them have 5-10 minutes a game during blowouts does not seem unreasonable. Perhaps he just wants them to gel together so when they play more difficult opponents they know what each other is going to do.

Not free. You have to subscribe to FLOHOOPS to get the game same as most of the FB games if you are out of New England.

I was out to eat for the 1st half.

Tied at the end of 3 at 48. Looks like it is going to be a tough game to win.

Destiney had a fantastic game -- really happy with the effort at this tournament. I thought we'd go straight to the consolation bracket....but now it is on to the finals!

Destiney playing aggressive and simple with fewer turnovers means that UMass can be at its best. We will play Iowa State or Penn State -- would be great to see Sam Breen play her old team!

7-0!

I saw someplace that this is our best start since around 1975. I was trying to find the sport archives to check this out but cannot find the link. Anyone know where it is?

They have 7 non-conference games left, 4 home and 3 away.

They play 2 terrible teams on the road, Hartford and Dartmouth (0-10 between them).
They have 3 very winnable games at home in Fairfield (2-3), Lowell (2-3) and Vermont (2-4).
A tough home game against BC (5-1).
A tough road game at Columbia (6-2).

Maybe they win 1 of the tough ones and have an off day in one of the others. That's a 12-3 non-con start and a huge upgrade for the program. Too early to figure out the A10 yet but we should be able to hang with anyone in our conference.
