Now we have a "top five coaches list" with Elaine Sortino not even making honorable mention. To each his own.

Add Russ Yarworth to the Errors of Omission short list.
Note that the author even had an Honorable Mention short list...

No Elaine
No Russ

Tonight's Channel 5's Chronicle show is about Amherst. UMass is only mentioned in passing, but you might want to learn about some of what goes on there that I know nothing about (other than Antonio's) after so many years of living in the area or spending weekends there. Exciting it ain't. :)

I have been watching a lot of TV these days trying to say safe. So I have been watching a lot of the Law & Order shows that have been on. One episode they refereed to someone going to UMass and living in Pittsfield.

Know a lot of non-fictional characters who fit that description, past and present, including yours truly...

Last night’s Chronicle on channel 5 was a full half hour on Amherst. Shayna Seymour grew up there so she gave a full tour of the town. Antonio’s had a nice couple minutes of air time. Not really much of anything on UMass.

Shayna's mother is one of the best people I ever interacted with during my time at UMass. Great family.

Success of a UMass grad in advertising

Post by econalum » Tue Nov 03, 2020 10:29 pm

If you have seen the "Your cousin from Boston" spots from Sam Adams, the cousin is a UMIE from Amesbury. His name is Gregory Hoyt.

Here are some of the spots. https://www.youtube.com/results?search_ ... commercial

The spots are popular enough that SNL spoofed it a couple of weeks ago - to the delight of Sam Adams/Boston Beer company.

. Wait through the commercial.

That Bill Burr SNL skit is great. SNL never goes wrong when they spoof Massholes.

Oh yeah, they did it for Dunkin a few years ago when Casey Affleck hosted. Mikey Day was in that one too, same outfit I believe. I actually prefer the Dunkin one just because Affleck freakin' nails it to a T.
