Spectrum Cable no longer carrying ESPN!!!?? WTF??

These sons of bitches at Spectrum had one thing to do and are blowing it.
According to them the owner of ESPN is Disney and Spectrum & Disney are apparently in a contract dispute....so they claim Disney pulled programming rights....
Spectrum paying customers cannot view all the ESPN channels now!!

Man oh man. That stinks. Can you watch the regular ESPN channels with the ESPN+ package? I have ESPN+ but never tried to watch regular ESPN since I already have an Xfinity cable package.

It shows up within the ESPN+ section of the ESPN app, but I cannot tell if you'll be able to watch it via that means. If you can find a free trial of ESPN+ or the Disney+ bundle, give it a shot. Otherwise, find your favorite bar/restaurant.


Often times these "disputes" only last a day or two once the programming is pulled. Usually enough people complain for one or both parties to cave.


With that said, Charter SUCKS.

You won’t be able to access most of the cable broadcasts ESPN content with ESPN+. The app would require you to login with a cable providers credentials.

At least that how it was 6 or so months ago.

Has there ever been a TV provider that hasn't been involved in a contract dispute at one point? It just seems to be an inevitability.

As much as it sucks in the short term, these always eventually get resolved, and in one way it's kind of a good thing for consumers that the providers aren't just bending over and taking rate increases up the tailpipe, because at the end of the day it's the consumer who's going to pay for it.
