Was thinking today . . . who owns the Mullins Center? The University, and by extension, the State, owns it, right?
I know Mullins is managed by an outside company.

Mullins Center
Re: Mullins Center
I believe that our UMass flagship owns the Mullins. The bonds were issued jointly by an entity called "State Capital Outlay" and our Building Authority. I don't know the maturity. It's been 25 years+, so maybe they have all been paid off.
By extension, then, if there were financial problems, the UMass Building Authority and the State entity would be on the hook, and then the State would be the last resort. Anyone?

Re: Mullins Center
Based off of this from 2000, it looks like the Mullins is owned by the University Building Authority and operated by the University. 21ish years later and the UBA may no longer be in the mix, but this was the case then.

Re: Mullins Center
UMASS Building Authority owns it. "After the facilities are completed, they are used and maintained by the University while the Authority maintains ownership of the buildings."
