I agree. Probably one of the greatest pure athletes ever. Power, speed, hand/eye coordination. And one of the better marketed athletes. Bo knows ... everything
Saw this in a FB post about Chuck Connors. https://www.facebook.com/Davenportsport ... 1911174329
Connors is 1 of 13 athletes to have played in both the NBA and MLB. The 12 others to have played are: Danny Ainge, Frank Baumholtz, Gene Conley, Dave DeBusschere, Johnny Gee, Dick Groat, Steve Hamilton, Mark Hendrickson, Cotton Nash, Ron Reed, Dick Ricketts, and Howie Schultz.
Plus, he was The Rifleman, how you beat that!
Chuck was also the first player to shatter a backboard . That bit of trivia will win you a beer! 8)

Did he shoot it with his Rifleman rifle?

Also, I thought Michael Jordan was up for a cup of coffee but I must be mistaken (won't be the first or last time).

I heard it was an official Red Ryder carbine action, 200-shot, range model air rifle with a compass in the stock and this thing that tells time.

The Celtics could have used anyone who could shoot anything tonight. They were 4/42 from 3.

They've been consistently bad at holding leads.

The things I loved seeing when watching Emmitt Smith run the ball was his Toughness, Patience, Vision, Balance, & he was also Versatile. That's what I think of when you mention Emmitt Smith, cause he wasn't the fastest or strongest or the most elusive RB, he was just a natural pure RB that was good at what he did, but Emmitt Smith just can't take all that credit & glory alone, cause he did run behind the best OL in the NFL, plus Big Moose, the full back, clearing Smith out many paths too!

In my mind, he was the ultimate winner. RIP, Bill.

Red called him the GOAT! No argument from me!

He was so much more than a basketball player.
