The sooner all of get the vaccine the sooner we can get back to going to athletic events.

Just like it was going to be a 3 week shutdown in March. Operation Warp Speed has been a disaster so far.

We can go back to athletic events, just depends on which state you live in and if “they allow it”.

What does smoking have to do with getting the vaccine?

New Jersey has included smokers among the group of high risk citizens (mainly older folks with chronic respiratory conditions). Many people, particularly educators, who are lower on the list to receive the vaccine, are kinda pissed that so many who weren't concerned about prior health warnings are being given priority over those who deal with the public on a regular basis. The optics of the decision are pretty brutal and the decision makers are getting an earful.
I imagine that one could argue that the overly obese should be in the same category of not deserving prioritization, but the optics of smoking and a respiratory disease are tough to overcome.

Don’t know where you live but there hasn’t been much subsidies for small business. There were also plenty of big business who took out PPP loans intended for small business.

As far as the vaccine goes, there is no one singular correct answer. All I see is a bunch of name calling for anyone with an opposing opinion.

No, there hasn’t been enough relief for small business. We agree. And, yes, there is a “singular correct answer.” This isn’t a matter of “opinion.” We need as many people as possible to get vaccinated.

The vaccine should go to the elderly/nursing home and first responders like the original phase 1 plan, then it should be offered to 65+, then it should be offered to anyone who wants to get it. I don’t think you should be forced to show you are vaccinated to return to work, travel, go to concerts, sporting events, etc. I am someone who believes in science and data and the average vaccine takes 8-10 years to develop. I would like to have the option to wait a couple of years and see how it plays out. I am still currently furloughed from my job due to covid and want things to get back to normal as soon as possible. The vaccine rollout was supposed to be the light at the end of the tunnel but it’s not starting out so great.

Since you need some help, I don’t think healthy people should be forced to take a vaccine created within a year in order to live their life. The government/big business has already destroyed many lives where the person had no chance.
