^ My small MA town shut it all down today, even the beaches and parks. Cement barriers across those parking lots. Just the town's only smallish grocery and the pharmacy remain open. First confirmed case announced.

Baker announced state-wide non essential businesses closed... Guessing that is why your town acted today.

Right after that I got an email from the nearby liquor store that let their whole DL know that they still will remain open (because they qualify as essential) and are still offering free delivery.

They are keeping liquor stores open I believe under guidance from DOH. Alcoholics going into withdrawal could do more damage than good especially with a potential shortage of hospital beds looming.

Oh I know that and why they're essential. It was just funny to see how quickly the email went out, like they had it sitting in their saved drafts folder with the mouse ready to click during every conference Baker gave.

Any of you see the clip where Biden referred to our Governor as "Charlie Parker" though? Hoping that little gaffe results in more people listening to some sweet jazz music.

Interesting fact - On the day when bars were closed in Croatia due to quarantine, a record number of people were hospitalized because of alcohol poisoning.

Pretty sad that Dems chances of beating Trump rest on Biden’s shoulders. The guy has seen better days.

You’re really not looking at the bigger picture here, how blind are you? cmon man wake up, especially with you being a small business owner wtf man?

Anyways here’s an ad that Trump is trying to get taken off the air because he sees it as “unfair”.

Think Joe even realizes there an epidemic going on? He should be happy that there is 24/7 covid coverage though. He was just accused of sexual assault in the 80's by a staffer. Not that any of the networks would have talked about it anyway. Biden in the end wouldn't be that bad. He would be one term, and he wouldn't do much in office besides enriching his family like he's always done. Well that and creepy shoulder rubs.

while the shoulder rub comment may be true, what Trump has done to various women is truly nauseating.
All due respect, and I mean that from the bottom of my heart, I'm gonna pass.

Most of the medical professionals I've heard from arent really that alarmed.

My guess is that Trump's fixers have spent a substantially larger amount of cash to fix the "women problems" than Biden's fixers. I could be wrong, but highly doubt it.

Trump thinks of himself as a "wartime president" against COVID-19. Combine that with being the incumbent plus an anemic choice from Team Blue and we have a pretty bleak and sickening picture for November.

Am I being ageist in saying all of these candidates should have retired more than a decade ago?

At the time they weren't.. In my view professionals get concerned, they should never be alarmed. Like I've said many times they were taking a more measured approach and they also didn't work in places like N.Y. Obviously times and situations change.
