Why am I not surprised the Magat waterboys at the WSJ are playing the false equivalence card?

Inauguration of Biden/Harris

Post by econalum » Wed Jan 20, 2021 10:37 pm

I thought that it was worth a note to reflect on how we feel about/during this Inauguration day.

1. I am glad that 'normal persons' are in charge.
2. It was very sad that so many pictures featured bulletproof glass and/or razor wire. it felt like Berlin 1965, not D.C. today.
3. I am hopeful that the rhetoric and lies will end as of noon today, and temper radicalism and Quanon nuttiness.
4. Trump, like MacArthur, will just 'fade away'.

I am not a rose-colored optimist, hardly. But I do feel a sigh of relief.

Anybody on here having buyers remorse for voting for this president? He is not well and it’s horrible for this country.

^ None whatsoever, given the alternative.

^^^
Wow. I’ll take mean tweets over this epic failure of a plan to get out of Afghanistan. Biden is cognitively gone. He’s a puppet at this point.

" I think he has been wrong on nearly every major foreign policy and national security issue over the past four decades,” former Defense Secretary Robert Gates

"Don't underestimate Joe's ability to fuck things up " President Obama

Lets not forget Biden was put in charge of the Iraq withdrawal in 2011 that led to the formation of ISIS and us going back into Iraq a few years later.

Nope. None at all. Loser Trump has always been a piece of garbage and a serial liar and he and his fanboys are the worst of the worst.

That said, Biden owns this Afghanistan debacle and its consequences which will likely reverberate for years to come. This will likely dearly cost the Dems in 2022 and 2024.

^^^Not a fanboy of Trump at all but the first 7 months of Biden have been nothing short of an abject disaster. I also can acknowledge overall Trump did a good job of actually running the country, resided over a good economy and stabilized the southern border. Yes his pompous boasting and petty tweets were annoying and unbecoming of a president but I’ll deal with that over what’s in the White House right now. Afghanistan gets worse by the day. I don’t see how Biden stays in office beyond this winter, he is not fit for office at this point, the guy can’t make any decisions on his own and he is clearly in the early stages of dementia. Need some new blood in 2024, I’m not trying to be ageist but maybe electing these 70 somethings (R or D) for president is not the best move for our country.
