Have you watched Hostages on HBO Max yet? I suggest it if you're at all a history buff. https://www.hbo.com/hostages
Well whether you have or not, there's a photo of John Limbert (one of the hostages) and his wife Parvaneh sitting by the Campus Pond with Morrill Science Building in the background. It is only a few minutes into the 1st episode at the 5:50 mark. Happy hunting!
EDIT: I was able to screencap it on my computer and get it on an image hosting site for folks to see:

Although UMass isn't specifically mentioned in "Rumble: The Indians Who Rocked The World", two alums, Buffy St. Marie and Taj Mahal were featured in it:

I saw it on Prime over the weekend and thought it was VERY good!

All due respect, and I mean that from the bottom of my heart, I'm gonna pass.

So it’s been 20 years since we kicked off this thread.Quinn wrote: ↑Thu May 08, 2003 5:02 pm Sharpen those memories folks...dig into your mental archives. It's that time again: the re-re-rebirth of the UMass References in Television and Film thread. The last 2 threads on this subject were lost when the old board got swiped. I figured that with some recent Minuteman related press, that it was time to bring it back.
To refresh everyone, just post any times you've read a book, seen a movie or TV show, and UMass was mentioned. This could include casual "Umass" droppings as well as stories you read about individuals who might have passed through the area.
If possible I'd like to fully expand this thread to also include any former students and Alumni that were connected to Amherst and are now in the public one way or another.
Rocks posted about the Minuteman issue being on PTI today (7:30pm on ESPN2 - May 8th). Thanks for unintentionally reminding me about this thread topic Rocks!
So it’s a good time, albeit 16 years late, but we have a Facebook group for the UMass fans.

Watching ‘Physical’, season 2; episode 1 on Apple TV+
Rose Burn is wearing a UMass tee. It wasn’t until she got up that I could see it was a UMass-Boston tee.

Rose Byrne? Crazy coincidence upon reading this because I just saw her and her husband, Bobby Cannavale, having dinner around the block from me tonight.

Oops…yeah…Rose Byrne! I didn’t know she was married to him.
