3 of the teams ahead of UMass are B1G; the other 2, including future MAC opponent Western Michigan, are NCHC.
Perhaps both are future hockey opponents. With men’s soccer moving the Horizon League, where Denver plays its soccer, maybe that’s a possibility as well.

These schools could show up on the schedule, but there should be ZERO plans to leave Hockey East and I do not believe that there are any plans to do so.

The SEC is the Hockey East of college football.

I would imagine that both UM and BC left for Amherst after the game Friday night and are in town as I write. Hockey East schedule is pretty tight, so not a lot of places to move it.
