Games 4 & 5 Minnesota St.

Post by DanaDingle3 » Thu Oct 19, 2023 9:22 am

Did I read somewhere this is our first trip to Mankato? Oddly quiet here after an exhilarating 3rd period to take down #6 Michigan.

I don't follow the team as closely as others here, but I'm looking forward to this weekend, especially given the football bye week. Gotta think a split on the road would be successful.

A sweep would be great, but I watched the Denver series around the same time last year, and it didn't get better than that, unfortunately. It's early, but I'm curious how the program rebounds from last year.

This will be another good test and excellent preparation for the season. It’ll be great it’ll be interesting to see if Hrabal continues his impressive play in goal.

If there’s an area that’s as hockey crazy as Massachusetts it’s definitely Minnesota. Tough teams and knowledgeable fans.

When UMass won the championship in 2021, my Minneapolis counterparts at work would be more likely to talk hockey than work.

another exceptional opponent. As mentioned Minnesota Hockey on a whole nother level of interest, support etc. The broadcast is usually a treat as well. The announcers great too. I think we can play w/ anyone. I was up for both Michigan games. Even Friday night we had so many chances, Felt we were trying too hard for the bang bang bang play. trying to make crazy passes through the defense. Best thing to do is get the puck on net. I think we give the freshman another start. He was so solid in net and what a presence with his size. Hoping for the split but will gladly take the sweep

Screaming Eagles are going to be tough. A split would be a good outcome.

I can’t get any real time score score updates from the usual sources. But saw an X post that said UMass up 1-0 after 2, with a second goal of the season by the Russian Rocker.
