Union Series 10/21 & 22

Post by bleedmaroon » Fri Oct 21, 2022 8:55 am

Not the glitter that Denver provided. The fact I'm posting this thread and not the usual posters, I just hope there is no letdown, with the players or fans. They need your help. Get out and see one or both games if you can. I'm going to try to get down 116 tonight. In theory the unbeaten streak should continue.

Union is 2-3-1 coming off two losses to the sled dogs from Storrs. UM has not exactly had a home ice advantage recently. Would love to see that change.

Why was the goal waved off?

Just turned game on. Start of 3rd period. Where the f is the crowd? I came 4-1/2 hrs last weekend. Great atmosphere. We are #6 . We win. And we still can't get people in the seats? Where is the hope for basketball or our anchor football. If we can't fill the bill #6. Then we suck. And union is a good team. What else is going on Friday from 7 to 930.

Helluva performance last night. Buzzer to buzzer domination. Last goal scored with 1.5 seconds left in the game.

From t rink...
Up 5-0 after 2.
Brady...23 shutout saves so far.

Fan nailed t Chuck a Puck, landing one on t center circle.
T Zamboni is doing its clockwise northern hemisphere gig, leaving me to wonder if they do it counter clockwise in t southern hemisphere.

Neither OC nor IV hitched a ride on t Z.

Don't buy t vanilla bean ice cream at t Creamery stand at Mullins. It sucks. Worst ever vanilla.
Not even worth an explanation why.
Mrs SM concurs.

Small disappointing "crowd."

What a weekend, back to back 7 goal games. No letdown allowed after the Denver series.

I agree that the crowd size is disappointing. Where are the students on a Friday and Saturday night?

I was really impressed by their ability to not even remotely allow a letdown after the big Denver weekend. I think that says a lot about this group mentally. There's a very long way to go in this season, but I feel like something special is brewing again.

No letdown indeed. Loved that they scored their 7th goal with 1.5 seconds left in the game on Friday night.

Looked like there were a lot of student in the stands but the non-student sections...especially on the west side of the building were only sparsly populated.
