Won 4-3. Don't want to see Merrimack again this season. They play us tough.

To get into the Mullins Center last night, you had to have your vaccination card plus a photo ID. My sense is, this will be a requirement for the rest of the hockey and basketball games at the Mullins.

Merrimack has given us fits all season! Last night was no different. However, we had Scott Morrow and he gave Merrimack fits. He had 2 goals and an assist. When he's on the ice, Scott is drawing a lot of attention.

^ Carvy said last night that Morrow is as good with the puck as anyone he has coached here. High praise, indeed.

^ It's natural to compare Scott with Cale. Scott has great hands and a great shot. He's not as fast as Cale (nobody in my UMass hockey watching is/was). We have to remember the leap Cale took from year 1 to year 2. I hope Scott stays 2 more years but it may only be 1 more. The other quality Cale had is remarkable anticipation. He could see plays develop and deliver picture perfect passes.

I was at the Bill for Friday nights game vs NU (a 3 to 2 UMass win!). I thought UMass played its best home game of the season. They out skated and out hustled Northeastern.

Tonight, I watched on the tube as UMass took it too NU again, getting a 6 to 0 win. Could Carvey's team be getting set for a run to the Frozen Four?

I almost felt sorry for the Northeastern announcers on the broadcast. They were totally morose in the 3rd period and had a hard time showing any enthusiasm.

After keeping fans out of their barn last night because they knew we would take it over, NU announces that they will let fans back for their next home game. :)

That was one hell of a statement weekend for UMass against a team that thought it was playing well. Defend the trophy, indeed!!!

Hey, we just scored four goals in the first period against LIU: 3 for us and 1 for them. Bobby T has three points already.
