NO GAME TONIGHT!
No idea why this was done. Hockey East still has us playing BU this weekend and still has Providence playing Maine.Hockey East

Eleven Minutemen on NHL opening night rosters! Excellent.

that is exciting and really shows the progress the program has made over the past few years.

Re: 2020-2021 Season
BU games not happening. From The Gazette:
Mark Divver reported on the College Hockey News Insiders podcast that someone involved with the UMass program, not a player or a coach, had close contact with COVID-19 after contact tracing, which led to the postponements. Had a Tier 1 member of the program tested positive, UMass would have to pause team activities.
Neither UMass or BU is on pause. The postponements are to wait for the contact tracing process to finish and ensure no one on the team or coaching staff has the virus and to prevent it from spreading if someone does.

I'll start calling this "The Daily Update". We're back on with BU.
Sunday has gotten very crowded. Women's BB at 2:00, Men's BB at 2:30 and hockey at 3:30.The Minutemen will host the Terriers on Sunday at 3:30 p.m. before heading to Boston for Monday's 3 p.m. matchup.
Sunday's matchup in Amherst will air on NESN

All on tv. That has to be a first.

I'm obviously not a knowledgeable hockey fan. but it seemed they were a bit flat today, losing 4-2.

^ Carvy agrees:
"I was concerned that we went too long without a game after winning seven in a row and I was concerned that our mental edge would be off and I thought that it was tonight.” @CoachCarvelUM on today’s loss 4-2 to BU

Re: 2020-2021 Season
Well Murray, like the rest of team, was part of the mental edge problem, leading to the first goal. The old Carvel would start Lindberg today. He promised he'd ride Murray so my money is on Murray starting at Walter Brown Arena today. Go UMass!
