2020 World Juniors - Zac Jones

Post by Old Cage » Mon Dec 30, 2019 5:16 pm

Hey, this is a great watch! The U.S. has qualified for the second round, which starts on Thursday, by winning three of their four first round games. I have seen some of each. I just watched a sudden death 4-3 win over Czech Republic. Zac is playing major minutes on the power play, firing at will. So far the games have been on the NHL Network.

We play Finland in the third game of the quarters. This says that the game is at 11:30 AM EST on the NHL Network:

In a 0-0 game late in the second, a Zac slap shot just clanged off the cross bar. Then the announcers talked about Zac and Carvy and about Cale and Mario "matriculating" to the NHL.

Since USA lost to Finland today 1-0 does that mean Zac will be able to play at Denver ?
Looks like he had a solid tournament!!! 👍

^ I think the expectation is that he will return against BC.

Per @CoachCarvelUM’s pregame interview with @BrockHines, Zac Jones is on his way to Denver to rejoin UMass after Team USA’s early exit from World Juniors. Carvel said it’s a “possibility” he plays tomorrow.

Zac made it. He has two assists in the first period.
