Ho him. One of our Sport Management majors makes the news:

"Jack didn’t have any envy in him," Calipari said. "He was the greatest coach to ever coach here."

I expected Makar to look good in the NHL but he looks a lot better than I expected. He has consistently been one of the best skaters on the ice when he plays. The Aves are an absurdly young and talented team - they should win a couple or more cups in the next few years.

Stanley Cup is arguably the hardest trophy to win... How often does the best team actually win? Maybe once every 4 or 5 years? This year might be their best shot with 3 or 4 of the top 4 or 5 teams already being knocked out in the first round.

I thought that was an article with some sort of Calipari connection. You forgot the 'e'

Cale with a nice assist from the blue line in the game 6 OT winner.

I think that is, in large part, due to the very strict and low salary cap. That's what makes the Ave's so scary. Mackinnon (23) is locked up for the next four years at $6.3M which will be one of the best contracts ever. Landeskog (26) signed for the next two years at $5.6M. Rantanen (22) will get a $10M per year or so contract this offseason. Girard (20) has another year on his ELC. Makar (20) has two more years on his ELC. The Aves have the #4 overall pick in this year's draft. The Aves have more than $10M in unused cap space which is insane for a team in the playoffs.

Pretty impressive that Cale is considered the best young prospect in the entire NHL.
