I believe Cale's the first player to win the Hobey Baker and Conn Smythe. What a career and he's only 23.

Looks like Avs have their 2022-23 schedule.
https://twitter.com/Avalanche/status/15 ... 8145758209

Commence extreme wishful thinking...

Avs at Bruins on Saturday, December 3, at 7 PM Eastern.
Same day: UM hockey is slated to host Lowell.
How about UML/UM starts at Noon with a little Stanley Cup ceremony pre-game? Plenty of time to get Cale back to Boston for a night game.

Why not?

(No hoop schedule as yet to check for those conflicts.)

^ As Captain Picard would say, "Make it so". Seriously, this is a great opportunity for us. Ryan and whomever else needs to be involved has to get this done.

That was excellent! Makar was fantastic with young fans when he was at UMass. Although he was always humble he seemed to understand what it meant to the kids to meet him. Heck, all the UMass players my kids have met have been gracious.

Something I've never heard of. I don't think I'd do the same, but pretty cool nonetheless.

The current Sports Illustrated has an eight page feature story on "The Next Bobby Orr." Well done about Cale, but not much about his UMass time.

Plenty of UMass mentions, as well as a photo from his college days, and a picture of him and Taylor as kids.

Cale is in concussion protocol for the second time in two weeks. Argh!
